Target is the best store ever

Over the past few weeks, Ive had the weirdest obsession with diffusers and v-neck sweaters. Every time i walk into target i buy both of those items! The sweaters are so damn comfortable, and the diffusers make my room smell like Christmas! It's great! Yesterday, while I'm target, I discovered a mini Christmas tree that you plant yourself! AWESOME!!! So i bought it. In about 30 years, i might have a full grown Christmas tree!

It says Bill Tree... named after my recently deceased fish, Bill. He was my best friend, and a GREAT person. RIP buddy!

Where has all of the good music gone?

Is anyone else concerned about the current state of our music industry? The Jonas Brothers? Miley Cyrus? KANYE WEST!? I try to appreciate and respect all artists from every genre of music, but seriously? I could never take a product of the Disney channel seriously, and i absolutely cannot respect an artist who does not respect his/her peers in the industry.

ANYWAYS... For the past few months i have been desperately seeking some new music. iTunes has definitely put a dent in my bank account. One of the albums that I found to be noteworthy:

THIS DAY AND AGE

The bell and the hammer

This album was released in late 2006 (last of their releases) and I gotta say, its amazing. This isn't one of those "I had to listen to it a few times before i really liked it" albums. It kind of feels like The Fray and Death Cab had a drunken sex-fest, and this was the end product. I think what sets this album apart from most is the creativity coming from the bassist and the drummer. The guitar playing is good, but rather standard for a pop/rock album, with a few impressive solos and bridges. The drums carry each of the songs along with intricate hi-hat work and tom fills. The mixture of the intricate drums and the busy bass lines (equally as impressive as the drums) almost gives this album a Mute Math feel. I say give this album a listen!

My favorite tracks:

-Always Straight Ahead

-Eustace

-Winter Winter Spring

-Practice Makes Better

Check em out!

This is a picture of the leonid meteor shower. I stared up at the sky for a good 20 minutes straight tonight, and saw ONE meteor. That sucks.

It's nice to meet you!

So here's the deal...

I now have a blog! The last time I had a "blog" was about 7 years ago using Xanga. I'd like to think Ive grown since then, but honestly, I haven't. I'm still that 15 year old kid that thinks fart jokes are funny.

This blog thing will go one of two ways...

1) I'll update ALL the time
-Or-
2) This will be the only blog ill ever post
If I do end up consistently blogging, the subjects will more than likely involve:
-Music
-My bands
-Religion
-UFOs
-Conspiracies
I probably won't be venting much. I'm not a "venter." I consider myself VERY lucky to be where I am and who i'm surrounded by. I'm a firm believer in doing the right thing and treating everyone with respect. In the end, all we'll have is each other.
